Littleover Branch
of The Royal British Legion was formed on the 8th September 1947
and has
now been in existence for over
sixty years.
During the first few years it met in the local public houses until premises
were bought in 1949 at 61 Blagreaves Lane, Littleover to be used as a club
and for Branch Headquarters. With the purchase of the two-storey
building, a former house, Littleover RBL Club Ltd was formed as a separate
entity from the Branch. It continued as a Legion club with its own
Officers and Committee until it disaffiliated from The Royal British Legion
in December 2009.
Branch meetings are still held on
the premises which are now known as Littleover Social Club.
Littleover is an
active Branch and has provided in recent years a Member of the National
Executive, now Board of Trustees, a County Chairman and County Committee
Members. For Branch
Officers and Committee follow the link.
