Nick Walker
is an ex-Royal Marine bandsman and was principal trombonist on the Royal
Yacht Britannia. Originally from Middlesbrough he is now a local
teacher. He is holding this evening at Newlands House, Main Street,
Netherseal, Swadlincote, Derbyshire DE12 8DA on Saturday 11th September
2010 starting at 7.30pm.
Go along and listen to Nick's journey from growing up in the North East to
becoming a Music Teacher. Nick was a Royal Marine for 24 years and
served around the world, including a two year posting onboard Her Majesty's
Yacht Britannia. A light-hearted and amusing illustrated talk,
intertwined with musical renditions. He might even let you in on a
few secrets on what it's really like to work on one of the most famous
ships in the world. Find out about being a Marine and what goes on
above and below deck.
This event suitable for all the family and tickets are priced at £7.50
adults, £4.00 children (under 18’s). Your ticket includes cheese,
wine and soft drinks and there will be music from a fantastic local choir.

and to serve disabled people around the world.
