The County Offices are situated on the second floor of Saxon House, which is a six storey office block. The offices comprise accommodation for the County Chairman, the County Secretary, the County Manager and Assistant and the County Welfare Officer. There is also a room in which meetings and courses can be held.

Directions to Saxon House

From North and North East
From A38/A6 Island (Palm Court Island) follow A6 Duffield Road towards the City centre. At traffic lights take right filter lane. Pass Jet filling station and turn right into Lodge Lane and continue bearing right into Bridge Street. At junction turn left into Agard Street and approach traffic lights at next junction in right filter lane. Turn right into Ford Street (A601) and move immediately to left hand lane before next traffic lights. Proceed into Stafford Street, turning left at the island into Curzon Street. At traffic lights turn left into Friary Street. Saxon House is on the right.

From East
From A52/A61 Island (Pentagon Island) follow A52 Eastgate through The Underpass in the left lane onto A601 St Alkmund's Way and remain in lane. Continue to the traffic lights and move into the left ahead lane. Continue bearing left into Ford Street keeping in the left lane next to the next traffic lights. Proceed into Stafford Street, turning left at the island into Curzon Street. At traffic lights turn left into Friary Street. Saxon House is on the right.

From South
From A6 follow London Road A6/B6000 towards the City centre. Pass Derbyshire Royal Infirmary on left at traffic light controlled island take right lane. Proceed round the island and take the third exit onto A601 Traffic Street. At next traffic light controlled island (The Cock Pit Island) take central lane, proceed round the island and take the second exit and proceed towards St Alkmund's Way in the right hand lane, merging with traffic from the right. Continue in the same lane up to the traffic lights and remain in the left ahead lane. Continue into Ford Street keeping in the left hand lane to the next traffic lights. Proceed into Stafford Street, turning left at the island into Curzon Street. At traffic lights turn left into Friary Street. Saxon House is on the right.

From West and South West
From A38/A52 Island (Markeaton Island) follow A52 Ashbourne Road towards the City centre. At traffic lights take left filter lane. Proceed into Friargate towards the next traffic lights in right hand lane. Turn left into Bridge Street and then bear right into Agard Street and approach traffic lights at next junction in right filter lane. Turn right into Ford Street (A601). Move over immediately to left hand lane before next traffic lights. Proceed into Stafford Street, turning left at the island into Curzon Street. At traffic lights turn left into Friary Street. Saxon House is on the right.
