Friends of Burma Veterans

The Friends of the Burma Veterans took over from the Burma Star Association in Derby in 2006.  Since then it has organised social functions and regular meetings across Derbyshire for veterans.  It continues offer a vital service to its members something that the Burma Star Association did.


A Big Lottery grant of £3,225 in 2010 will enable to the Friends of Burma Veterans to continue to meet and enjoy coffee mornings and days out.  Without this money, the members would have kept on having to put their hand in their own pockets for social outings and the like so they are grateful to the Big Lottery for the grant.
